HiPiHi enters open public beta

We are very excited announce the debuting of HiPiHi’s open public beta test, beginning from April 18^th, 2008. From now on, our HiPiHi world will welcome new residents from all corners around the world and join our existing residents on this magical land created by yourselves.

1. Resident “Happygirl” did not complete the name-change process during April 2nd -17th. From April 18th, new residents may take this name as their nickname.
2. If Resident “happygirl” trys to log in after April 18th, she will be auto-directed to the name-change page, where she may still use “Happygirl” as her username if it has not been taken by new users, or to change her name (e.g. “happgirl_me”) if her old name was occupied by a new resident.

I just used HelloTxt.com to send out an announcement on Twitter, Jaiku, Pownce, Facebook, Plaxo, Tumblr, Meemo, and Beemod.

I tried to make an announcement to the Hipihi group in facebook but facebook seems to be having trouble.

Do English Windows users still have to do the same language procedures of installing the East Asian language pack and the other steps?

Has the English interface been more completely Anglicized?

Is the PDF help file available in English?

I just signed up, and am trying to open the attachment ("HiPiHi World’s Help and Support") in English here: http://forums.hipihi.com/main.jhtml , but my Windows XP machine does not recognize the file type so I cannot open it... What format is it, please?

I downloaded and installed version 50021 of HiPiHi successfully, but it will not run -- it freezes my computer and requires me to manually reboot. I tried several times. I have WinXP, 2.4 GHz Pentium, 1 gig RAM, Nvidia GeForce 6200 with Driver 6.14.11.6921 (12/7/07). SecondLife runs perfectly on my computer. Hope this helps you.

Also, when will there be an English translation for this site? I very strongly recommend that you hire at least one *fully* bilingual (Chinese - English) employee to translate your site -- it will make all the difference in the world for your "Overseas Users"! ;-) Thank you.

and the extension on the end is rar - that means it is a compressed file that can be expanded with a number of archive programs. WinRAR is one such program.

At least some of that file may be fairly out of date be now.

I have looked for something other than WinRAR and WinZip, both of which open RAR files to get the PDF, but both are trial software. Will use WinRAR for now, but am hoping to find freeware for this format eventually.

Hope that the file is somewhat useful. When I signed up, I got the screen that apparently asks you to choose a 10,000 plot of temporary land, but I wasn't able to click on the yellow squares sucessfully.

Am crashing as I log on after a few seconds -- actually the computer just freezes and I have to reboot. I have:
Windows XP（SP2）
DSL 2650Kbps up
Nvidia Geforce 6200 256 MB
P4 2.4GHz
1 gig ram
DirectX 9.0c

My system is clean, and fast enough to run Second Life very well.

What "bothers" me a lot is that the download speed of the HiPiHi client is amazingly slow.

63Mb takes about 1,5 hours on a high speed connection >.>

http://www.7-zip.org/ has an archive utility for free that can unpack rar files.

i was bigigir zenovka in secondlife really hope this game is bit like that game and im always IN for new try of a vr world (there.com is one of my favorites also a bit too) i hate secondlife because they did bann me for no reason
